All prices are shown in £ sterling and include V.A.T. but not delivery charges, we reserve the right to change any advertised prices at any time. The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order except in the instance where an error has occurred with the data making up the information which is projected through the website. In the event that an error is discovered with the price of any goods you may have ordered we will inform you as soon as we can possibly contact you whereupon we will give you the option of amending and processing your order at the correct price or cancelling it. In the possible event that we cannot contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods we will give you a full refund.

All products & services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn from sale at any time.

If the item you order is not in stock, you will be contacted immediately and offered an alternative.

The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions processed by this site and over phone lines. Please read carefully and print a copy for reference.

Beacon Electrical are happy to accept orders from Local Authorities and Educational establishments.

All goods will remain the property of Beacon Electrical until paid for in full.

We run secure card verifications and authorisation as recommended by our Banking and merchandising partners. Online and phone transactions will only be delivered to the billing address that is registered to you card.

Due to regular attempted fraudulent orders we always undertake a number of checks to ensure that our losses are kept to a minimum. During these checks we may consult a credit reference agency about you who will record the search. Our web site links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites.

 

Guarantee

All our products are supplied with a minimum 1 Year Manufacturers warranty.

All manufacturers’ guarantees exclude faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse. In addition, routine maintenance (cleaning of dirty audio/video heads etc), consumables (plug fuses, cables, batteries etc) and tuning of channels are not covered.

Price Match Policy

Beacon’s Price match policy is only effective on certain brands in certain periods, we make major promotions when we are offering price matching on major brands and from any retail source including the internet, check our special offers to find which brands are on current price match guarantee.

In order for a price match the following criteria must be meet: (i) item must be in stock with the matched retailer. (ii) Price must include any delivery/carriage charges imposed (iii) Item must be brand new boxed stock, graded or ex-display models are not covered the price match policy. (iv) Promotional vouchers and credits are not covered by the price match policy. (v) In accordance with regulated guidance and reports any rogue websites will not be covered by the price match policy. (vi) Price is only guaranteed with in our local fleet delivery area. (Please check to see if your postcode falls within this area)

Delivery

Beacon Electrical uses its own fleet of vehicles, and delivers to MAINLAND UK only.

All our published prices include delivery to a mainland UK address.

Delivery within the PL & TQ postcodes will always be delivered by our own delivery Fleet.

Delivery Times .

We deliver 5 days a week and offer AM & PM delivery slots (9AM-1PM/12AM-5PM) a signature will be required upon delivery.

Failed Delivery and Cancellation Charges
Where a pre-arranged agreed day has been given for a delivery and that delivery fails due to there being no one at the address to sign for the goods, then you may be liable to pay a failed delivery charge. Also if you cancel a delivery after the goods have left our warehouse you may be required to pay a cancellation charge.

Old Product Collection
For a fee of £15.00 we can remove your old appliance when we deliver your new one. The old appliance must be disconnected and outside your property at time of delivery in a clean and hygienic condition.

We do use National fleet/direct deliveries from manufacturers in certain situations, mainly when delivering outside of our designated local area. Delivery requirements may vary from our own fleet and you will be advised when you place your order.

 

IMPORTANT

Our courier company is not insured to enter your house/premises and will therefore require your assistance in handling any item in excess of 30 Kgs. This includes some Home Cinema systems, LCD and Plasma Televisions.

Beacon Electrical is a family company, established in 1979. Beacon has grown from its roots in D.I.Y. wiring and lighting to expand into Domestic White & brown Goods. Now with 4 Stores Beacon is Devon’s largest independent electrical Retailer. Beacon offers small store service with superstore prices, a motto we have used since the early 90’s. ‘Prices you want to pay with Service you want to have’

Complaints

We take all complaints very seriously. If you have a cause of complaint then please write to us at the address shown on our contact page. We will respond in writing to all complaints within 5 days and will keep you informed throughout the process by your request.

We try very hard to provide high quality customer service but at the end of the day we are only human and we do make mistakes (we promise though that if we do, we will do our best to put them right)
