Coronavirus Statement

 

In these times of distress we need to come together and help each other. With this in mind All Beacon Electrical shops have closed to the public, but we are also offering further ways to interact with us to be able to supply any products you may need.


From now on you can contact us via telephone to your local store, or via our website where we will have staff available for online chat should you need to ask a question, available between the hours of 10am-4pm Monday - Saturday.

We are changing our delivery and installation procedures to make sure we can deliver to anyone in a safe and sensible way. We will be limiting their possible exposure to this virus as much as possible and in so doing will be asking all customers two questions before we will deliver within your home.

1. Have you had to seek medical advice resulting in being advised to self-isolate or have you decided to self-isolate as a result of potential coronavirus contact?

2. Have you returned from a visit abroad known to be considered at risk of the coronavirus within the last 14 days?

Should the answer to either of the above be a yes we will still deliver to your doorstep. We will ring the door bell or knock and stand 2 metres from your door and wait for you to accept this delivery. We will not be handing over paperwork to be signed but will initial complete delivery paperwork on your behalf and with your clear understanding to confirm we have delivered the item instead of our usual customer signature.

 

  • Deliveries will be to the doorstep only.

  • Our installation services are not available during this restricted period, anyone accepting a delivery and has requested and paid for installation service will be able to apply for a refund of that service.

  • Removal of old appliances will not be available in this temporary period.

  • Our Staff will require safe distancing at all times (2.5metres) if we can ask that you adhere to this for our Teams saftey and your own.

 

Our staff will refuse to deliver should you not adhere to these rules. Wherever possible we would ask that you stay in another room whilst we deliver your new products but at a minimum the 2 metre distance would be expected.

We will also be extending our delivery service to cover items that we would normally only see purchased in store or for click and collect, items such as Kettle, Irons and Toasters and even light bulbs and accesories. This will be available as part of our low cost delivery service of £4.99 and can be discussed with a member of the sales team however a minimum spend of £50 is required.

We are Here to support our customers and if you have any specific requirement or needs please just talk to us and we will do everything we can to assist.

We appreciate these may seem like drastic measures but we all need to be mindful that this is not a short term event and we are going to have to live with this for some time.
We are here to help but please remember that we are a local company who have local staff who are also being affected by this current situation and we need our business to carry on as much as possible to help pay them and to support their families through this. We do not want this to spell the end for any business in our local community and as such would like us all to come together to help each other through the next few months.
