i am really pleased with this product, it takes so much moisture out of the atmosphere, its so lovely to not have condensation on all the windows now.
I bought the item as a Christmas gift for my son, he is over the moon with it, says it works great and the other features are good and cheap to run, its also quiet.
When a brand new item is faulty we would have expected Beakon Electrical to replace the item but they did not do that , they handed us over to hotpoint / indesit / whirlpool repair team who have been a nightmare to deal with and after spending a lot of time on the phone over several phone calls we are still waiting for an engineer to attend to look at repairing or replacing this brand new appliance. All the whirlpool team have tried to do is sell us additional cover with domestic and general for a monthly fee (hard sell when you register the appliance) Shame but I am very frustrated and feel let down by this stressful experience.

Old Dyson not picking up very well so decided to get a newer model with improved battery life.
It does get an amazing amount of water out of the air but I'd recommend not letting it get more than half full. First couple of times I emptied it down the sink I flooded the kitchen floor, not realising there are several outlets to chose from! A warning marker or arrow would be handy, Really heavy to manoeuvre round (so glad we're in a bungalow) and the handle doesn't feel substantial enough to lift it but so far quite pleased. Yet to work out the impact on the electric bill but think it much kinder for drying clothes than a tumble dryer (though towels dry with a much rougher feel)
Washing now dries in record times and no more smelly clothes.
Will send back to meaco as not happy with the noise. Was ok until first water empty. Now it makes a terrible vibrating noise. This is no reflection on Beacon electrical though.
Had a condensation problem in our bungalow but this little feller has sorted it with no problem. I just leave it running overnight with all the doors ajar and hey presto no more condensation on the windows in the morning. Great value for money.
Our house was suffering with a damp and condensation problem, especially on the windows and doors. After researching the different dehumidifiers I chose the Meaco as its one of the quietest. We situated it on the landing close to our bedroom and it hasn't disturbed our sleep at all. It read 70 when we first switched it on and the tank had to be emptied daily for nearly a week. We leave it in the default setting of 55. We have had absolutely no condensation on any doors or windows and the house feels warmer. Our downstairs loo which suffered badly from damp and condensation is now bone dry and warm! The dehumidifier has now settled down and switches itself on and off.
Our house was suffering from a condensation and damp problem, especially on the windows and doors in our house. After reading reviews on the Meaco and Ebac, I decided on the Meaco Dry Arete 20L. When I first switched it on we had a reading of 70 and for the first week we emptied the tank daily. It has now settled down and doesn't fill up anywhere as quickly. There is no condensation at all on windows or doors and the downstairs loo which was always cold and damp, is now warm and dry. In fact the whole house feels so much warmer. We have it on the landing by our bedroom and the noise doesn't disturb our sleep at all. I highly recommend this product.
I looked and looked online. There are some many to choose from. I came to this one. Glad I did. I'm shocked how much water it collects. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looked to buy one...
