A good range cooker. Controls took a little getting used to, but fine now.
My first stove was an old Belling that I inherited and had for six years. It worked perfectly. So I was keen to buy another one and trusted the brand. I bought this Belling stove in late April. One week after receipt, the paint on the stove top started to chip off at the back of the stove. Really shoddy workmanship. I called Stoves and booked an engineer appointment (which was two weeks away). They never showed, or explained why. This happened twice. They dragged their heels over the refund too. I have never experienced anything quite so appalling. Absolutely awful aftersales service. I will never buy a Belling/Stoves product again.
Beacon Electrical is nothing short of amazing. I had a smooth sales experience, received my new Belling cooker. Then the problems began with the cooker within a week. It has been a long battle with Stoves to get it returned and refund offered. But through it all, Beacon Electrical were fantastic. They offered support and good advice, but never quibbled once I had made my decision on a refund. They helped with the endless chasing with Stoves, and kept me updated regularly. I always say it not the errors or problems that matter so much, but the way a company reacts. They did nothing wrong - it was the product, nothing to do with Beacon - but responded incredibly. Ordering and checking right product very good. Installation wasn't so good, felt it was rushed and power put through the work top instead of into the socket. Had an electrician put it right although now have a hole in the work top, felt it could have been better.
This kettle from Swan would have been out of my price range at full price! Even at half price it was more than some but, as someone who loves her tea, I knew it would be good quality, and so was happy to pay. It is a lovely-looking and very ergonomic kettle: the body and handle are both rubberised so make it easy to grip and use safely. The pouring top is not metal, so will not rust like some cheaper ones, and pours very smoothly. A classy kettle, and a great addition to my kitchen.
I left my review on Google. The Henry hoover I purchased was too difficult to push across my carpets. Beacon Electrical refused to accept its return as I had unwrapped and used the hoover. Further email exchanges, you agreed to accept its return at my cost and if found not faulty, would be sent back to me at my cost. This I believe was in contravention of my Consumer Rights under the 2015 Sale of Goods Act. I contacted MyHenry Numatic International who empathised and as a gesture of goodwill promptly rescued the situation by exchanging the hoover for a different model. I notified Trading Standards of my unfair treatment by Beacon Electrical, Plymouth.
The item I ordered was delivered with respect and instructions were followed regarding delivery. I was kept up to date with times etc. the product is perfect and at a great price.
Service fine but I ordered the wrong items which were useless as I pointed out to your service department who said perhaps appropriately it was my fault although better labelling of items would have helped.I did get the right items from one of your competitors
